Professional Development

The Graduate Community of Scholars (GCOS) provides a support system and an enriching academic experience for all graduate students as they pursue their professional goals and aspirations at Binghamton University. GCOS seeks to enhance the academic experiences and professional development of graduate students through:


  • Career and professional development workshops
  • Co-teaching projects
  • Support mechanisms for travel and participation in conferences and other academic events

The Career Development Center (CDC) also provides services and resources to support graduate students, including:

  • Career counseling
  • Alumni Career Network
  • Career Library Resources
