Check Your Application Status

While you will receive written notification of your admission decision, you can also check the status of your application online at any time.

Important Notes:

  • Only official written notification from the Dean of The Graduate School constitutes approval of admission.
  • Please respect the application deadlines and suggested time frame necessary for completing the online graduate application process. Though the application process is electronic, Binghamton University's graduate programs use a holistic approach when reviewing every application in which graduate directors, department chairs and faculty members individually review all application material.
  • Your academic department cannot view or review your online graduate application and required admission credentials until you have paid the graduate degree application fee.

Fall 2013 Applicants

Log in below with your Embark User ID and password to check your application status.

 

       

Spring 2013 Applicants, Non-Matriculated Applicants, Certificate Applicants

STEP 1:

Log into our online Application Status Check.

You will need the User ID and password you received and activated after successfully submitting your online application.

STEP 2:

Go to "Processed Application" and choose the Entry Term for which you applied.

The status of your admission decision, which reflects the review by the academic program/department and The Graduate School, will be shown here.

More specifically, the "Application Status" field of the Application Status Check refers only to whether or not an admission recommendation has been made by the graduate department to The Graduate School, and in turn, whether the final admission decision has been made by The Graduate School.

Spring 2013 applicants, please note:

The "Incomplete Items Outstanding" notation does not always indicate that your application is truly incomplete. If you did not upload all of your admission materials individually by appropriate document type via Interfolio, your application status may still indicate incomplete.

Before contacting The Graduate School or your academic department to learn what materials may still be missing from your application, please take the following steps:

  • Refer to your Interfolio account and delivery status for all materials you have submitted.
  • Check your academic program and The Graduate School admission requirements to verify that you have submitted all required materials.
