Liberty Partnerships Program Mission Statement
The mission of the Liberty Partnerships Program is to motivate and support middle and high school students so they will finish school and be prepared for postsecondary education or to enter the work force.
The program's goals are to provide support to at-risk students to reduce the drop-out rate and enable them to graduate from high school and be prepared to continue their education or enter the workforce. With that in mind, the five principles that guide the partnership as it concentrates on the critical transition periods from elementary to middle school, middle to high school and high school to college or meaningful employment are to:
- build a good support system,
- set a vision,
- develop positive attitudes,
- learn how to make positive changes and
- foster positive risk-takers.
The program concentrates on the critical transition periods from elementary to middle school, middle to high school and high school to college or meaningful employment. The program strongly encourages students to pursue postsecondary education and to apply for New York State scholarships.
