Childhood & Early Childhood Education

Pre-Service program leading to the

Master of Science in Education (MSEd) degree

Binghamton University’s pre-service program in Childhood & Early Childhood Education (CEC) leads to multiple New York state teaching certifications, while allowing students to work with children from birth through grade six in a number of different roles.

Two pathways towards a masters degree are offered:

  1. Childhood, early childhood and literacy
  2. Childhood, early childhood and special education.

Both pathways of these two-year, full time programs involve intensive coursework, field experiences and student teaching placements, and include summer and winter sessions among a small cohort of graduate students.
