When a class is accepted for transfer, Harpur awards the number of credit hours the other school awarded. So a three-credit class receives three credits, although the course is treated as a full class in terms of fulfilling degree requirements. NOTE: Credits from schools on the quarter system are adjusted to equate to semester credit. For example, courses earned at colleges operating on a tri-mester system (or quarters) receive only 2 credits.
