Am I eligible to take Math 107 and/or Math 108?

Answer
Math 107 and 108 are appropriate courses for students who need to build relevant Mathematics skills for subsequent, higher level Mathematics courses.

Math 107 places an emphasis on problem-solving techniques. Equations, inequalities, functions, graphs, geometry and mathematical systems are covered in the class. Logic, probability and statistics are also introduced. This is a good foundational course for students continuing on to Math 147 (Elementary Statistics).

Math 108 develops skills in elementary algebraic manipulations which are necessary for study of calculus. Students are introduced to trigonometry, logarithms and analytic geometry in the class. This is a good course for those who plan to take calculus but are in need of some additional or remedial preparation.
