REACH logoPeer Education

The REACH (Real Education About College Health) peer education program heightens students’ awareness and understanding of health issues that directly affect their lives such as alcohol and other drugs, tobacco use, social life, HIV/AIDs, sexuality, self-esteem, peer pressure, relationships and healthy decision making. Additionally, peer educators sharpen their communication and leadership skills while also earning 4 credits.

Developed in 1999, our program was the first college health initiative to use a “street outreach” format. This means:

Talk to us

If a pair of REACH educators approaches you on campus, feel free to talk with them about your health and wellness, and don’t be afraid to ask questions since all conversations are strictly confidential. You can also e-mail us at

Become a REACH peer educator

Peer educators provide valuable information to fellow students, hone their communication and leadership skills, earn credit (4 credits per semester) and have a great time!
