Professional Fraternities
Alpha Phi Omega is a national service fraternity that stresses the qualities of leadership, friendship and service. APO was founded in 1925 and in 1976 became coed. Alpha Phi Omega is today the single most representative undergraduate intercollegiate organization in the United States of America. APO is based on the principles of the Boy Scout’s Oath and The Scout Law. Alpha Phi Omega offers the best of the social world and service opportunities rolled into one.

Delta Epsilon Mu is a pre-health fraternity composed of individuals interested in a variety of areas in the health field. Delta Epsilon Mu provides social and educational opportunities for those in pursuit of careers in the health field: pre-med, nursing, dental, physical therapy, clinical psychology and health administration. Delta Epsilon Mu offers a wide array of educational experiences, including guest speakers, lectures, charity benefits, and programs such as Cancer Awareness Week. Delta Sigma Pi Coed Business Fraternity,
founded Nov. 7, 1907, at New York University, is a professional coed business fraternity that offers the fellowship of a social fraternity. The Kappa Lambda chapter at Binghamton University was established in spring 1981. Delta Sigma Pi offers its members the opportunity to advance their studies of the business world through its program of professional speakers and tours. In addition to the professional aspect, Delta Sigma Pi also provides the chance to interact on a social level, through mixers with fellow fraternities and sororities, participation in intramural sports, and commitment to various financial and community service projects. Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International,
founded in 1902, is a coed professional organization that emphasizes law and fraternity. The Binghamton University chapter was established in fall 1989 and has consistently offered a wide variety of professional, social, academic and philanthropic events for its members. Through speakers and informational events, in conjunction with faculty and staff, we strive to teach the ideals of liberty and justice under the law and the advancement of knowledge. Phi Alpha Delta provides opportunities for members to take part in our intramural sport teams, interact with other fraternities at mixers, and attend dinners and formals each semester. Phi Alpha Delta gives its brothers and sisters a chance to grow academically while having a great time making friendships that last a lifetime. Phi Delta Epsilon is a pre-medical fraternity that consists of a group of individuals representing a variety of diverse backgrounds and personalities. The members of Phi Delta Epsilon learn the importance of working together to gain insight into the practice of medicine by participating in group discussions with medical school students and practicing physicians. Various fundraising campaigns for non-profit organizations are an important way for the members to increase their awareness of community needs.
