UDC Library Information Commons
Located on the main floor of the University Downtown Center (UDC), the Library-Information Commons, provides 36 PCs with access to online research material, productivity software, student quota printing and two document scanners. Four group study rooms with laptop ready projection equipment, five individual study rooms, and an adaptive technology room for students with special needs are also available.
The University Downtown Center Library-Information Commons, maintains a collection of books, reference materials, regional government documents, and current periodicals in the disciplines of community and public affairs, human development, public administration, social work, and student affairs. The UDC houses the College of Community and Public Affairs (CCPA) which includes the Department of Social Work, the Department of Human Development, the Department of Public Administration, and the Department of Student Affairs Administration.
UDC Library Information Services Desk
Students, Staff and Faculty are encouraged to make the UDC Information Services Desk their first stop when making enquiries about resources and services offered by the Library-Information Commons. You can contact the Information Services Desk at 777-9225.
Research and Reference Help
Research Assistance Services provide help in identifying and accessing an extensive range of print and electronic resources for teaching, learning and research. Research assistance is provided in-person, by telephone or virtually. The Research Help (Reference Desk) is located in Bartle Library on the first floor in the Information Commons. During the fall and spring semesters, Research Help is also provided in-person at the UDC Library – see UDC Research & Reference Hours. For more information, visit Ask A Librarian.

Building Hours Spring 2016 (Beginning January 25)
Students have access to the computer pods, lounges, and group study rooms during building hours, even if the Library-Information Commons is closed.
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
- Friday – Sunday: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
In addition to the four study carrels in the UDC Library, the following rooms are available for quite study during UDC building hours.
