Three “B’s” with Janey Choi, violin, and Michael Salmirs, piano, 3-4:30 p.m., Sunday, March 17, AC-Chamber Hall. In a program of classics with a twist, the Choi-Salmirs Duo will present two established masterworks, dramatic sonatas by Beethoven and Brahms, sandwiching a lesser-known modern sonata by esteemed living composer William Bolcom. The Bolcom Sonata No. 2 has a definitely modern, yet accessible flavor with movements marked: “Brutal, Fast”, “Summer Dreams“, and a finale that owes its inspiration to jazz legend Joe Venuti. Tickets for the concert are $9 general public, $6 faculty/staff/seniors and $3 for students and are available at the Anderson Center Box Office from noon-5:30 p.m. weekdays, by calling 607-777-ARTS, online at http://anderson.binghamton.edu or at the door.
