There will be fall reception for the new exhibitions at the University Art Museum from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, in the museum (FA-213): “Plantation Places: Cotton, Sugar, Coffee and the Making of Nineteenth-Century Slaveries” with guest curator Professor Dale Tomich, Department of Sociology, will remain on display through Dec. 15, in FA-213; “Chinese Snuff Bottles From a Private Collection” will also remain on display through Dec. 15, in FA-213; and “A Way with Words: Chinese Calligraphy” by Harrison Xinshi Tu’90 will remain on display through Oct. 27, in FA-179.
