The Binghamton University Chorus, directed by Associate Professor Bruce Borton, and the University Symphony Orchestra, directed by Professor Timothy Perry, will host a celebration to usher in the holidays at 3 p.m. Nov. 24, in AC-Osterhout Concert Theater. The 150-plus members of the ensembles will perform J. S. Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Part I with Binghamton University undergraduate and graduate music student soloists: soprano Christina Santa Maria, mezzo-soprano Emily Geller, tenor Kevin Truax and bass Jake Stamatis. The program will also include Alice Parker’s Six Latin Christmas Hymns and Gustav Holst’s Jupiter, The Bringer of Jollity. Tickets are $7 for the general public; $5 for faculty, staff and seniors; and free for students.
