Men’s soccer drops two in West Virginia
TweetBinghamton fell to No. 15 Monmouth, 2-0, in the final round of the West Virginia Men’s Soccer Classic on Sept. 5.
The game marked the Bearcats’ second straight contest against a nationally ranked opponent. The Bearcats lost to No. 23 UNC-Wilmington, 1-0, on Sept. 3.
Monmouth’s Ryan Kinne got both of his goals in the waning moments of each half. He opened the scoring in the 41st minute and iced the match in the 87th minute.
Binghamton outshot Monmouth, 12-10. Senior back Kyle Manscuk and senior forward Scott Zobre were named to the all-tournament team.
