P.R.I.D.E. app officially launches
October 3, 2013Tweet
The Binghamton University athletics department officially launched its new student rewards program, Proudly Rewarding Involvement Dedication & Enthusiasm (P.R.I.D.E.) point system. The new mobile application will provide all registered students with information regarding aspects of Binghamton athletics and reward students who regularly attend home events.
“We are excited to introduce this mobile rewards program to recognize the enthusiastic support we receive from our student body,” Director of Athletics Patrick Elliott said. “We hope this program encourages students to come out and cheer on the Bearcats and earn great prizes while doing so.”
P.R.I.D.E. is a free app for all undergraduate students currently enrolled at Binghamton University. The goal of the P.R.I.D.E. point system is to reward students who frequently attend home sporting events by accumulating points that will go toward prizes. The app is designed to reward attendance and increase support of Binghamton athletic programs.
Points can be accrued by students attending Binghamton events including men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, baseball, softball, swimming and diving, volleyball and wrestling. Students will “check in” after arriving at one of the Binghamton athletic facilities (Events Center, West Gym, Bearcats Sports Complex) and the app will register their attendance. Once the app recognizes the student’s attendance they will be rewarded a point total depending on the event.
Students can simply download the free mobile app (search Binghamton Pride), or sign up at the marketing table at home athletic events and earn points when they “check in.” Point values will vary for each event.
