Secure bicycles to approved bicycle racks| November 6, 2013
Students, faculty and staff are reminded to secure bicycles to approved bicycle racks. Bicycles secured to other objects, such as walkway handrails and building entrance/exit architecture, may impede pedestrian traffic, emergency exits, and snow removal or maintenance operations. Barnes and Noble renovations underway| November 6, 2013
Renovations are taking place on the first and second floors of the Barnes and Noble bookstore in UUW. A display case is being built on the second floor, and new flooring will be installed in the cash register area on the first floor, along with other improvements. Main entrance sign work Oct. 17 through December| October 16, 2013
The temporary, mock-up sign at the main entrance to campus will be removed between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. During this time there will be minor, temporary traffic and pedestrian interruptions.
Work on the new main entrance sign will follow, with contractors working weekdays from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. through December. Fencing will be erected around the work site and materials will be staged on both sides of the entrance. There will be periodic, temporary traffic and pedestrian impacts. Use caution in this area since construction vehicles will be entering and exiting staging areas throughout the course of the project. Some additional landscaping work will occur next year.
