Financial representatives available for one-on-one counseling sessions

Financial representatives from TIAA-CREF, Voya ( formerly ING), MetLife, VALIC and Fidelity are on campus each month throughout the year and are available for one-on-one counseling sessions. TIAA-CREF, Voya, MetLife and Valic are Alternate Funding Vehicles for those employees represented by UUP or MC, and who participate in the Optional Retirement Plan and all of these plans, and Fidelity are available for supplemental retirement accounts for all employees.

• Flexible Spending Account (FSA) open enrollment: Oct. 6-Nov. 7, 2014
• PEP (Productivity Enhancement Program) enrollment: Oct. 27-Nov. 28, 2014
• Health Insurance Pre-Tax/Post-Tax Status Change enrollment: Nov. 1-30, 2014
Health insurance Annual Option Transfer dates have not yet been announced. Additional information will follow as it becomes available.

Writers Sought for Ask a Scientist

The Binghamton University "Ask a Scientist" program is seeking contributors. In a partnership with the Press & Sun Bulletin, faculty and staff answer questions submitted by area school children. Smoking policy revised to include tobacco use
June 30, 2014
Binghamton University has revised its Smoking Policy effective July 1, 2014, to a Tobacco Use and Smoking Policy. The policy will now prevent the use of tobacco (defined in the policy), smoking and electronic cigarettes in buildings, state vehicles and outdoors within 25 feet of flammable materials, air intakes, trash cans, entrances to buildings or operable windows, and on various loading docks. The new policy can be found online
