Recreation Center end-of-semester and January hours| December 11, 2013
Between January 2-22, the Rec Center will be open from 5:45 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 9 a.m.-4 p.m Saturday-Sunday. During this time in January, current faculty, staff and students are invited to take part in all programming, including open rec, FitSpace and all fitness classes, for free. A valid University ID will be required to access the building.

Your 2013 FSA contributions must be exhausted by Dec. 31, 2013 to avoid forfeiture of remaining funds. Your receipts for expenses incurred during the 2013 calendar year may be submitted for reimbursement until March 31, 2014.

Bronstein will discuss “How can the College of Community and Public Affairs build on its commitment to community engagement, social justice, diversity, and academic and scholarly excellence to provide leadership in helping Binghamton University increase research, strengthen graduate education, and build relationships with the community?” Her presentation will be followed by a 30-minute informal chat where faculty, staff and students will have the opportunity to meet and mingle informally with her.

Men’s basketball to hold “Pack The House Day” Dec. 28| December 10, 2013
Coupons are available now at all Binghamton area Weis Markets. The first 2,000 coupons redeemed at the Events Center box office will receive free tickets compliments of Weis.
“Pack the House Night" was also held in conjunction with the Binghamton men’s and women’s opening night basketball doubleheader on Nov. 8. A season-high crowd of 4,318 came out to the Events Center for those games.
Note: Coupons can be redeemed weekdays at the Events Center box office from noon-4:30 p.m. or online.

Janet Brown, librarian emerita, dies at 93| December 9, 2013
After her retirement in 1987, she continued to audit classes on campus. Brown is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, one nephew and three nieces, as well as by many residents of Endicott. Funeral arrangements are private.
