Nominations sought for Leadership Development Program| December 4, 2013
Nominations are currently being accepted for the Leadership Development Program for Supervisors at Binghamton University, Class of Spring 2014. Programs will be presented for supervisory employees once a semester and will consist of two classes, with each class composed of 20 nominated participants. Nominations can be made by supervisors, or employees can self-nominate.

NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program workshop| December 4, 2013
There will be an NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Program workshop from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, in the Engineering and Science Building, Room 2008.
This brown-bag lunch workshop, sponsored by the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), will introduce junior faculty to the NSF CAREER program and help them prepare their CAREER proposals. This workshop will mainly aim to provide future CAREER proposal submitters with proposal review experience and advice on developing strategies for success, presented by a panel of recent NSF CAREER awardees and NSF program directors and/or reviewers. The workshop will also include tips from OSP staff on specific requirements of the CAREER program and how to structure a successful CAREER proposal.

World AIDS Day Awareness Week event today| December 4, 2013
This week is Binghamton World AIDS Day Awareness Week. Come join R.E.A.C.H as we raise awareness and increase education around HIV/AIDS. Our event, "Awareness through Expression," is from 7-9 p.m. tonight, Dec. 4, in UU-Old Union Hall. The event will feature performances by the Binghamton Ballroom Dance Association, the SUNY Oneonta Poetry Slam Team, student rapper Taylor Koulick, and poetry slam artist Tara Betts, whose poetry has been published in multiple journals and anthologies.

Binghamton University Flute Studio and Chamber Concert| December 4, 2013
Join us for the Binghamton University Flute Studio and Flute Chamber Concert, with accompanist Chai-Kyou Mallinson under the direction of Georgetta Maiolo, at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, in FA-Casadesus Recital Hall. The concert will feature soloists as well as a flute trio with Binghamton University student flutists: Kohar Bedonian, Jessica Biagotti, Eleni Florakis, Brandy Greene, Devin Kasinki, Michelle Li, Cara Natale and Jacqueline Robins.
