Art faculty engage with the Permanent Collection in this exhibition which runs from April 22 through May 24. An opening reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 24, in the main gallery of the Binghamton University Art Museum. Eleven faculty members from the Department of Art selected a single work of art from the museum’s permanent collection to serve as an inspiration for an original work of art. The object chosen by the artist is installed alongside the new work. Graduate students from the Department of Art History interviewed the artists and composed labels to accompany each artist’s installation. Participating faculty members include Jim Bohary, Frank Chang, Alexandra Davis, Ronald Gonzalez, Blazo Kovacevic, Natalija Mijatovic, Kathryn M. Niles, Costa Sakellariou, Jim Stark, John Thomson and Michael Wesko.
