Anderson Center accepted into jazz touring network
TweetThe Anderson Center for the Performing Arts has been accepted for membership in the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation’s Jazz Touring Network, one of only 23 presenters in the network’s region.
The program is designed to expand the presentation of jazz throughout the mid-Atlantic region through support to selected presenters for professional development, peer networking and funding for regional jazz tours. Funding for the Jazz Touring Network is realized through support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
New members are selected on an annual basis through an open, competitive selection process with the focus on arts presenters with little to no experience presenting jazz. Membership in the program is ongoing. The Anderson Center, under the direction of Executive Director Gary Pedro, is one of four new members of the network.
