Melissa S. Murphy will discuss “Colonized Bodies, Colonizing Bodies. The Bioarchaeology of Spanish Conquest and Colonialism of the Inca Empire (Peru)” at 4 p.m. today, Feb. 8, in S1-140. A reception will follow in S1-143. Murphy is a bioarchaeologist conducting research in the Central Andes of Peru. Her concern lies with themes of contact and colonialism, health, disease, and demography, theoretical/social bioarchaeology, and historical bioarchaeology.
