Center for Civic Engagement to host luncheons
March 19, 2014Tweet
The Center for Civic Engagement hosts informal luncheons over the course of the semester to provide a venue for faculty to discuss their community-based work or interests with colleagues from across campus. Held from noon-1 p.m., the next luncheons will take place Thursday, March 27, in UU-124, and Monday, April 7, in UU-122. The purpose is for faculty to learn about others’ community work/interests and to identify common areas of interest or points of synergy. Discussions will focus on efforts related to service-learning classes, research projects and service initiatives as they address community issues and challenges. Pre-registration is necessary. Space is limited to 12. E-mail the Center for Civic Engagement with your name, department, which session you will attend, any dietary restrictions and a brief sentence or two about your community-based work or interest.
