Corpse flower prepares to openTweet
The Amorphophallus titanum (corpse flower) is getting ready to open in the E.W. Heier Teaching Greenhouse. This flowered for the first time in 2010, and is about to repeat that stinky performance! Don't miss out! Believed to be the largest unbranched inflorescence in the world, the corpse flower is certainly one of the most unforgettable. The greenhouse now on extended hours in anticipation of the full bloom, weekdays from 8:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Hours will be extended into the night of the full opening. Check the greenhouse website for updates.
