The Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science will again host a full day of programming for budding engineers in celebration of National Engineers Week. The events, which are free and open to students of all ages, will run from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, in the Engineering and Science Building at the Innovative Technologies Complex (ITC), 85 Murray Hill Road in Vestal. This year there will be several new hands-on activities, including a rocket car-building competition and a build-your-own-circuit event. Other events offer familiar challenges from the past, like the 15-foot egg drop and the spaghetti bridge-building competition. Participants can also check out the super-mileage car and a quadcopter demonstration. For a complete list of the week’s events and to “Discover Engineering,” go online.
