Do not respond to latest phishing scam
November 18, 2013Tweet
An e-mail has been received by some faculty and staff, claiming to be from Binghamton.edu Customer Care and stating that there is congestion in user accounts and all unused Binghamton.edu accounts will be deactivated unless users confirm their user name and password. This is a phishing scam, and recipients should delete the message without replying. Phishing scams such as this one can allow unscrupulous persons to fool recipients into providing user name and password information. If you receive such a request, do not respond! Contact the Help Desk at 607-777-6420 if you have specific questions.
