Robert Parkins, professor of organ at Duke University, will be featured in concert on the fabulous Guilbault-Thérien organ of United Presbyterian Church in downtown Binghamton at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29. The program will include works by composers of all periods, including works by J.S. Bach, and little-heard but stunning music by Spanish Baroque organ composers, for which Parkins is the acclaimed expert. Tickets for the concert are $10 general public, $7 faculty/staff/seniors and $5 students and are available at the door. American Guild of Organists members can purchase tickets half off the ticket price. For more information, call 607-777-2592, visit the Department of Music online or become a fan on Facebook.
