September 24, 2013Tweet
GIS is a system that integrates hardware, software and data for capturing, managing, analyzing and displaying all forms of geographically referenced information. It allows us to view, understand, interpret and visualize data in many ways that reveal relationships, patterns and trends in the form of maps, reports and charts. This workshop for people curious about what GIS can do for them will be offered from 9-10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, and again from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, in SW-206A, will provide an overview of GIS. There will be a question and answer period and an access code for an introductory online course from ESRI. To register call 777-3536.
