New Assistant Provost for Admissions Appointed

Sandra Starke, vice provost for enrollment management, announces the appointment of Townsend Plant as assistant provost for admissions. Plant has been director of admissions and financial aid for the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, Bloomington since 2008, and was director of admissions for the Ithaca College School of Music for seven years prior to that. In his new position as chief admissions officer at Binghamton, Plant will lead more than 30 operations and recruitment staff and be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and leading operations to meet the University's new student enrollment goals. He will begin his duties at Binghamton on Monday, Sept. 24.
