Come to the Rec Center, Room 24, for a lunchtime meditation and Qigong session from noon-1 p.m. Monday, May 6. Qigong is the ancient Chinese practice of aligning breath, movement and awareness in order to cultivate and balance chi, or "intrinsic life energy." Qigong practice involves rhythmic breathing coordinated with a slow repetition of fluid movements. Some consider Qigong an exercise, others a meditation.
