Safety tip from Environmental Health and SafetyTweet
Fire safety awareness isn't just for your work environment. Talk to your children and other members of your household about an escape plan. Work together to designate a meeting place outside the house in the event of an emergency. Everyone should know not to call for help from a home phone in case of fire or smoke, instead go to a neighbor’s house or use a cell phone from your established outdoor meeting point. Have an evacuation plan and kit ready and don't forget to include your pets. For more information, contact Environmental Health and Safety at 777-2211.
