How Do I choose a Start Date for Post-Completion OPT?
1) Start Date must occur no later than 60 days after your program completion date.

2) After submitting the completed OPT Academic Advisor’s form to the ISSS office, it will take 7–10 business days (approximately 2 weeks) to create an OPT I-20 for you.
3) It takes USCIS Service Centers approximately 12 WEEKS (3 months) to process your OPT Application and issue the EAD card.
