The topics are:
1. Confused About How to File... Use GLACIER Tax Prep!
2. Introduction to US Tax Law

5. How to Complete NYS Tax Form IT-203 for 1040NR EZ Filers
6. How to Complete NYS Tax Form IT-203 for 1040NR Filers
Remember that you must complete your federal income tax forms using GLACIER Tax Prep before you can complete New York State income tax forms.
If you have not yet claimed your access code so that you can be authenticated for GLACIER Tax Prep, our free income tax preparation software, you can do so by following the instructions at this link: http://www2.binghamton.edu/isss/taxes/glacier.html
Remember. Do not file your income tax forms too soon! Be sure you have W-2 forms (Wage and Tax Statements) from every U.S. employer you worked for in calendar year 2012. If you are missing a W-2 form, you need to contact your employer to request a duplicate.
Also, if you have a scholarship or fellowship grant (e.g. Athletic Scholarship, Muskie Fellowship, Fulbright Scholarship, Dissertation Year Fellowship), do not file your tax forms until you receive form 1042-S from your scholarship sponsor. If you are from a country that has a tax treaty with the United States based on wages (salary) and your employer completed special paperwork for you so that you could claim your tax treaty exemption from taxes, your employer will also send you form 1042-S, and you need to wait for the 1042-S before filing income tax forms. Form 1042-S is generally issued in mid-March.
The deadline for filing income tax forms is April 15, 2013.
