This article focuses on important information pertaining to early arrival period which begins December 24th, 2013. Please note due to the holiday period from December 25th, 2013 through January 1, 2014, Binghamton University staff and faculty in all University offices will be unavailable. We do not suggest you arrive during this period.
Students in F and J status are allowed to arrive up to 30 days before the program start date cited on their I-20/DS-2019. For most students, this date is January 22, 2014.
If you plan to arrive in Binghamton anytime between January 2nd, 2014 and January 21, 2014 please follow the directions below:
1.) Report to the Office of International Student and Scholar Services at Binghamton University located in the Hinman Commons Building Room 115 with your original immigration documents (Passport with F-1 visa stamp, as well as your original I-20).
2.) Please visit the Decker Student Health Services Office to submit your immunization records, health history and complete the required tuberculosis testing. http://www2.binghamton.edu/health/
*Failure to turn in the required documentation at Decker Student Health Services will result in your inability to register for classes
3.) If you have already uploaded your photo onto https://secure.binghamton.edu/idphotoupload/ajax-tools/login.jsp please visit Binghamton University student ID card office to pick up your student ID rather than wait until orientation. If you haven’t uploaded your photo yet, please note that in order to apply for your ID card early, you must inform the staff at the ID card office/Student Records Office that you are a newly arrived international student. The ID card office is located in the Student Records Office, Student Wing 119; this office will be open Monday to Friday, from 9:00am - 4:00pm.
