Arriving at Binghamton
To Live On Campus
To Live Off Campus

As a new exchange student at Binghamton University, you are expected to arrive at Binghamton University no later than Sunday, August 18, 2013 the program start date on your SEVIS DS-2019. It is recommended that you arrive by Friday, August 16, or Saturday, August 17, 2013.

If you have not arranged to purchase a bedding packet from the Office of International Programs, we recommend that you bring a sheet, pillowcase, pillow, warm blanket, and towel with you for your first few days. Additional bedding may be purchased after your arrival.

Undergraduate students who want to live on campus must reserve a bed in the residence halls as soon as possible.

The Office of International Programs will be arranging your on campus housing for you. If you are an exchange student, you need to contact Ms. Susan B. Lewis from the Office of International Programs, directly by email at to arrange to move into your on-campus housing early.

Please Note: If you accept the keys to your room, suite or apartment or move your belongings into your room, suite or apartment, you become obligated to remain in on-campus housing for the term of your exchange.

If you are planning to live off campus, we advise you to arrive prior to August 18, in order to locate housing. You need to locate your own housing off campus.
