The New Student Fee is charged to all undergraduate students in their initial semester. The New Student Fee for undergraduate exchange students is $220.

REGISTER FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ORIENTATION:
The link above will take you to the on-line VZ Orientation Registration form. To register for Orientation you will need to know your B number. If you do not know your B number, go to http://www2.binghamton.edu/self-service. On this webpage, click on the text box, “BU Brain Log In”, you will need your BU user id and password to access your B number.
We suggest you print out this page so you have it for reference while you register for Orientation.
Follow these steps to arrange your registration for Orientation:
WELCOME DINNER AND MEALS DURING ORIENTATION
All new students attending International Student Orientation are invited to attend the International Student Welcome Dinner on Monday, August 19, 2013 at 6:00pm. The cost for the Welcome Dinner is covered by the New Student Fee.
The other meals during International Student Orientation are part of your semester Meal Plan. If you have purchased a Meal Plan, your Meal Plan is coded on your Binghamton University ID card. At the dining hall, you will need your Binghamton University ID card when you go to the cash registers. If you have not yet purchased a Meal Plan you can arrange one when you arrive at Binghamton University. You will find information on the Meal Plan at this web link: http://binghamtonudining.com/plans/index.html
If you do not have a Meal Plan you can pay for your meals with US dollars or a US credit card.
Please note: If you have family members or friends coming to Orientation with you, they will need to pay for their meals with US dollars or a US credit card. You need to tell us ahead of time if your guests will be attending the meals with you. Please send an email to Katie Barvinchak at email@example.com and tell Katie the number of guests. The cost of the International Student Welcome Dinner is $25.00 for each guest.

ARE FAMILY MEMBERS OR FRIENDS TRAVELING WITH YOU?
Housing for family or friends traveling with you can be reserved at one of the hotels near campus. At this link you will find a complete list of hotels serving the Binghamton area: http://www2.binghamton.edu/visiting-campus/lodging.html
Reservations at local hotels need to be made early as many new students and their families will be staying at local hotels during the Orientation period.
If you are driving to campus, you will need to follow the parking policies of Binghamton University. On the first day of Orientation, Monday, August 19th, we will provide you with a parking pass if you e-mail Katie Barvinchak, International Student Advisor, by Monday, August 12th. To park on-campus after Monday, August 19, 2013 you will need to register your vehicle and purchase a Student Parking Pass from Parking Services. On Monday, August 19 and Tuesday, August 20th you will find Parking Services located on the ground floor of the Couper Administration Building. http://parking.binghamton.edu/
On Wednesday, August 21, 2013, Parking Services will re-locate to the University Events Center for a two week period.
