The IVP Team provides prevention education and outreach events upon request to students, staff, and faculty. Topics include but are not limited to, healthy relationships, consent, empathy, sexual assault, bullying and harassment, nonviolence communication, and bystander intervention.
The education team creates and facilitates presentations to different groups on campus on a range of interpersonal violence topics, such as but not limited to: IVP basics, rape culture, healthy relationships and being an IVP UP-stander. The presentations are geared to create awareness as well as include prevention efforts. The IVP team can present any presentation on campus upon request. The outreach team helps spread awareness about IVP issues and services to Binghamton University community through tabling, creating awareness events, developing outreach material, and managing the IVP twitter account. The outreach team works to create various materials such as: event flyers, brochures, and informative, interactive tangibles.
