Judaic Studies - Study Abroad Program

Jews have and continue to live in many areas of the world. The Judaic Studies Department recommends that as a way of appreciating Jewish diversity and because of globalization, students use available opportunities for study abroad. Both Binghamton University and SUNY offer many study abroad opportunities and courses taken abroad can count toward the Judaic Studies major or minor and the Hebrew minor.

Please consult the the Director of Undergraduate Studies while making study abroad plans in order to ensure coordination.

For Binghamton University study abroad opportunities see the Office of International Programs and for SUNY study abroad opportunities see There are study abroad opportunities outside of the SUNY system as well. The office of International Programs can be of help and advise about these as well.

Please click here for study abroad opportunities in Israel that are provided within the SUNY system.  Please feel free also to contact Shana Kantor the Executive director of Hillel at Binghamton about scholarships for study in Israel.
