Circulation - Overnight Assistant (Graduate) - Fall, 2014

This position DOES NOT require Federal Work Study funding


  • Assist patrons in locating and checking out library material
  • Process requests for Interlibrary Loan by retrieving books from the stacks and scanning chapters as needed
  • Supervise undergraduate student assistants
  • Monitor patrons' use of the library and its resources. Report any problems with facilities or patrons to supervisor
  • Provide service for copier and BookEye scanners

Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills. Good organizational, time management and problem-solving skills as well as initiative, good judgment and discretion. Reliability and punctuality.

Hours: Must be available to work approximately 20-27 hours per week. Overnight shifts are Sunday through Thursday, 11p.m. to 7 a.m., shared by at least two graduate students. Position may include Saturday hours as needed.
