Binghamton University offers both general and specialized fellowship opportunities. Underrepresented minorities applying to The Graduate School should also apply for the Clifford D. Clark Graduate Fellowship for Diversity. Clark Fellowships are awarded based on merit and are designed to recruit and support students who contribute to student body diversity within each Clark Fellow’s individual program. LSAMP undergraduates should apply for the State University New York Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Bridge to Doctorate (SUNY LSAMP BD) program at Binghamton University, is slated to begin in August 2011, pending NSF funding.

Have an interest that may involve several graduate programs? The Graduate Dean may approve a proposal to construct an interdisciplinary doctoral program that does not fit into an existing degree plan and that may involve several graduate programs with faculty from more than one department or school.
