Spring 2011

Then and now

Do you remember hanging out at Westover’s Bar and Grill just outside Johnson City? This old favorite became Halo’s restaurant in the early 1980s and was around for almost 10 years until current owner Tom Bosman purchased and remodeled the building. The site was home to several restaurants after Halo’s, including TJ’s Bar and Grill, Cara’s Cafe, West of Boston and Mirella’s Cafe. Two years ago, the owner expanded the building and converted the ground floor to office space for insurance and payroll companies. Have a photo of a favorite hangout?
