Photographer and long-time Yankees fan Jon Plasse ‘72 signs a copy of his book, The Stadium. Plasse’s book is a history in pictures of the old Yankee Stadium. Alumni were invited to meet him and Scott Krug ‘96, vice president and CFO of financial operations for the Yankees, and then take in a Yankees game in August.
Gary Kunis ‘73 traveled more than 700 miles north of the Arctic Circle in June on an expedition to track and photograph polar bears. He was above the 80th parallel, in Svalbard, Norway — but here he’s taking a break while staying warm in his Binghamton University sweatshirt.
Michael Nagler ‘87, superintendent of the Mineola, N.Y., school district, unloads a truck full of supplies to be donated to Binghamton-area school districts affected by the flood. Items included furniture from a closed school and supplies collected by parents in his district.
Homecoming was early this year, coming just two weeks after floods devastated much of the Binghamton region. But nothing Mother Nature can dish out will stop the annual tailgate party, held in the parking lot of the Events Center (which housed flood evacuees just days earlier).
