Richard Warner of Theatre Department dies
Richard Warner, who worked in the Department of Theatre for more than 20 years, died March 10, 2014, the day before he would have been 83. He joined the Theatre Department in 1970 as a staff associate and retired in 1991. He returned as a technical assistant for a few months during the spring 1993 semester.
Warner is survived by his former wife, two sons, one daughter and her partner, one daughter-in-law, three granddaughters, and one sister. He was predeceased by his long-time companion, Rodger Sherman. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he taught in Naples, Italy; Porto Alegre, Brazil; Guayaquil, Ecuador; as well as Hicksville, Johnson City and Endicott. At his request there will be no services.
