Construction photos bring back memories

I think the Binghamton University Magazine is terrific and greatly enjoyed the fall 2013 issue.

Regarding the piece on changes on campus, which explains that the first residential housing on the then-Harpur College campus in Vestal opened in September 1958 with occupation of Rafuse Hall (for men) and O’Connor Hall (for women): I was a member of the Class of ’62 who received letters from Harpur in August 1958, telling us to come two or three weeks later than planned because the new dorms were not ready. We did, and found essentially a large construction site with two dorms,  a large gymnasium, and bus stops for the buses that would take us back and forth to the Harpur campus in Endicott for classes, dining, and all other parts of college life.

Keep up the great work!
