Where are they now?

The time capsule that was buried the night before graduation had been forgotten, or at least forsaken, by those who interred it back in 1984. That is, until Kathy DeAmbra Carter was cleaning out a closet and found a list of classmates’ names. The list reminded her of the time capsule, which prompted the initial search for it in 2009.
The list wasn’t just an accounting of names, it was a snapshot of hopes, dreams and pre-graduation giddiness. The list asked for name, address and an answer to this question: Where do you want to be in the year 2000?
About 30 people signed the paper. We selected a sample of names and responses from among those that were legible. And we were able to follow up on some them, to find out how things turned out.

The most important thing is whom I’m with in the “place.” For me, this is my husband, Russ Marino (also 1984 Binghamton graduate, Newing/Broome Hall), our two children, Samantha and Luke, and my dog, Jake. I really can’t ask for more than that ... and yes, this is a good place!”
