- You are a first generation college student from an economically disadvantaged
background, or
- You are from an ethnic group underrepresented in graduate programs,
specifically African-American, Latino, or Native American.
- Be a US citizen or permanent resident.
- Be an undergraduate student at Binghamton University.
- Have a good record of academic achievement (minimum GPA 3.0).
- Be committed to attending graduate school.
- Be a hard worker that will do what it takes to be your best.
- Be a sophomore or junior (seniors are accepted on a limited basis).
Your major should be in the social sciences, natural sciences
and humanities. Students in other disciplines who have a keen interest in
attending graduate school are encouraged to apply. However, first priority
is given to students in the targeted disciplines.
Please note that seniors with a strong academic record are encouraged
to apply also. A limited number of seniors will be accepted each year.
