Personal Reflection

Future Plans
Obtaining my masters and PhD in Speech Language Pathology.  Eventually, I would like to open up clinics in deprived areas of Brooklyn, NY and Trinidad & Tobago, WI.

Why PhD
With a PhD, I will have the opportunity to research many factors that contribute to the internationally growing numbers of speech and hearing disorders, that I believe have continuously been overlooked and untreated, due to cultural, linguistical and biological barriers, misrepresentations and misunderstandings.  Obtaining a PhD in Speech Language Pathology will aid in my attempt to pin point, and research factors that have been overlooked, and eventually use them to aid in the advancement of communication and hearing on a regional and international basis.  In the end, implementing these advancements in a self-owned and operated speech clinic, and in the classroom.
