Research that I am currently interested in that will develop into my Master's desgree project focuses on improving classroom managment in urban schools. There's a significant gap between the education and services children receive in urban and suburban schools, part of the problem is poor classroom management by teachers in urban schools. Developing interventions and programs to assist teachers in improving the quality of education children in urban schools are receiving is important for their success.

Future Plans:
Continue my education in graduate school to study School Psychology.
Why a PhD:
A PhD will allow me flexibility in my future plans. After working as a School Psychologist in the public school system for a few years, I would like to have the option of entering academia. A PhD will provide me with the opportunity to do that.
