About the Mechanical Engineering Department

Mechanical Engineering (ME) plays a role in nearly everything that is made by humans. Design, fabrication and applications are all relevant considerations. Consistent with this paradigm, the ME curriculum offers a balance among theory, design, and laboratory experience in the areas of thermal fluids, mechanics, dynamic systems, design and materials.

How to Find the ME Department

The Department's main office is housed in (R POD) which is on the third floor of the Engineering Building at Binghamton University. Several Mechanical Engineering faculty members are located in offices in adjacent areas (PODS) on the third floor.
