BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Binghamton University’s Decker School of Nursing will host “The Canopy of Health Care for Rural and Underserved Populations: Strengthening the Root System” from Oct. 5-7, and organizers are seeking proposals from researchers interested in participating.

The multidisciplinary conference, hosted by the Rural Nurse Organization and the Decker School of Nursing, will highlight research, projects, practice and conceptual or theoretical papers that focus on rural nursing or health as well as healthcare of rural and underserved populations.

Organizers will review abstracts as they begin scheduling a series of podium presentations, symposia and poster presentations. The conference will include a graduate student research session. Papers accepted for presentation may be considered for inclusion in the series of Rural Monographs published by Binghamton University.  To submit an abstract by Mar. 28, 2011, visit http://www2.binghamton.edu/continuing-education/non-credit-programs/rural-health.html.
