Alumni and the public invited to Binghamton University Homecoming 2011
BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton University Homecoming 2011 will take place Sept. 23-25 on campus. The community is welcome to join alumni, students, faculty, and staff for a wide range of activities.
An opening mixer scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23, will start the weekend’s festivities. The event, to be held outside the Events Center, will feature live music and the wines of alumni vintners.
A number of offices, departments, and student organizations on campus will host open houses on Saturday, Sept. 24. Doors will open at 8 a.m.
The signature event of the weekend will be a tailgate party scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. The festivities will be held outside the Events Center and the public is invited to bring grills, food, and beverages, and join a spectacle that attracts more than 1,000 people each year. Tailgate '11 precedes the 7 p.m. men’s home soccer game against Adelphi University.
